Drake Family Vacation....continued

So the Drake's have a very serious game of putt-putt every year, and that determins who keeps the coconut head at their house for the year. I'm ready for someone else to get on the putting greens and take that prize away from my husband. It does not match a thing in my house, and with Shelby Claire on the way....it needs a new home. I am however proud to say that I came in second place. If he was going to win, I don't want to lose to anyone else!

Yeah....we all scored a hole in one!
Finishing up the very competitive round of putt-putt!

My belly hole!

Erin and I decided to put our bellies together and let the girls play....ha!

22 weeks!

My how she's growing...it's hard to believe that we are over half way there! Shelby Claire is definitely taking a shape of her own, and making me take on a different shape too. I'm feeling tons of movement now, which is fun. Other people can feel movement as well and that is exciting to share. She mainly moves when I'm hungry, when I eat, when I wake up, and when I am trying to go to sleep....I love every second of it!

Rob had to get a picture with a bear...definitely not as cute as his "Bear"

Carrying the torch!
The actual city of Whistler...so cute!

Hanging out in a bobsled
This was Rob's view of the starting line....Derek hooked him up, and told him to get there early! It worked....

It's a GIRL!!!

Our doctors appointment was at 4:00pm on Friday, February 19. We had all of our family meet us at Shogun wearing the color they thought the baby would be. Everyone that chose a color had on BLUE; except PawPaw. He wore yellow because that was a gender neutral color. I was very happy to pop out in pink and knock their socks off!!! My mom kept saying "I just can't believe it's a girl, I knew it was a boy!" She was wrong....
I definitely had a gut feeling that this baby was a girl! I would have been so happy with a boy, but I'm thrilled with the idea of pink and hair bows! Daddy's gonna love his girl....

The proud Momma and Nana...

Superbowl...Cake Boss Edition

So, when we were thinking about what to bring to the Superbowl Party, I mentioned cake because it did not sound like many desserts were being brought. Rob had a bigger and better idea...
...and this is what took place! Clearly, white icing needed to be on the sides!
Lining the field, and decorating the end zones...
...I almost stopped here, but decided that we needed some more color...
...and here is the finished product!
I can honestly say that I was tired after this! We've been watching way too much Cake Boss. Rob swears we need to give up our day jobs, but I'm not sold. It was a fun Sunday afternoon activity, but not sure I'm ready for a career in cakes!

15 weeks

This is the first week that I stopped throwing up! It only took 15 weeks!

I couldn't even think about taking a picture until now...usually I would come home from school and crash, but I'm starting to feel like myself again!

Baby Drake...14 weeks!

Due to some complications, I had an ultasound at 14 weeks and everything was fine! Praise the Lord...this was such a beautiful blessing. The baby is only 3 1/2 inches long here. Technology is a wonderful thing. So very clear!
Based on the picture everyone is guess BOY, but we'll see?

ICE! at Gaylord Palms

We were prepared this year! Last year we didn't realize that it was only 9 degrees in the ICE exhibit; neither one of us had gloves, hats or even enough layers. Rob even had on shorts. We were good to go this year! This is an amazing exhibit...everything made of ice.

Eskimo kisses...
They have a huge slide with Santa and his reindeer...this year Rob made sure to get in on the action!
Life size carousel...they even had some seats that were not ice so that you could sit on it. Amazing!
The breat taking manger scene....it actually tells the story of Jesus' birth, and lights up through out the story. The characters are lifesize.
Such a fun Christmas activity!
