Gwinnett Braves

We love baseball, being as how we met at a game, and are so excited to have the G-Braves right here in town. We went with the Drake's and had a wonderful time. Welcome to the 2009 Inaugral Gwinnett Braves Baseball Season!

This was the coolest part of the whole night...a jumper carried the flag to the field. When he landed he didn't let the flag touch, he scoooped it up so quickly with the help of another jumper. Way cool, and exciting....

Picture of the stadium from right field...we were walking around the stadium to get some ice cream.

Since we were on Spring Break with the Drake's right before Easter, we were with my family for Easter this year. Of course we had to get a family picture.
Mom's adorable coconut cake with little peeps on top!

The dogs got treats for Easter too! Lucy and Charlie love these dental bones. They are suppose to help strengthen their teeth. Grandma Iris would be so proud!

Spring Break with the Drake's

For Spring Break '09 (woo-woo!) we went to Cape San Blas, FL with the Drakes! What a fun adventure...it was unlike any place I have ever been before- very natural undisturbed beaches and hundreds of acres of natural forestry. We had a wonderful week of golf for the guys, the beach and pool, riding horses on the beach, Margaritaville, and MONOPOLY! Wow, who knew that Monopoly was so intense...Erin and I decided that Monopoly should be a mandatory part of pre-marital counseling.

I love horses, and my mother-in-law was dying to ride horses on the beach. No one else would ride with her, so for the small price of $50 I made a wonderful memory with Iris! So nice, relaxing a beautiful!

One night we decided to try and have a bonfire on the beach; it was a good idea in theory, however, it was much too windy and cold...so, we ended up staying inside and watching "The Legend of Bagger Vance". It was a good movie!

The whole Crew at Margaritaville on Master's Thursay. Notice all the guys are wearing some shade of green to celebrate the occasion. Not sure where, but I know that they played golf somewhere that day, then we all met up in PCB. I know now why my parents would never let me go there on Spring Break trips in high school. Thanks Mom and Dad...it was nuts!

On the balcony of our room just before we had to leave on Saurday morning. Nice beach breeze! I hope we can go back soon....it was a wonderful week!
