Stone Mountain

The Polar Express 4-D movie! My first experience at a 4-D movie, and I have to say that it was really cool. If you weren't wearing the glasses you couldn't see a thing. There was water, wind, and our seats even vibrated when you were on the train. The one thing that would have been better if the baby that was screaming was taken out!!!!
We hiked Stone Mountain...just kidding...we rode the lift. It was freezing at the top of the mountain! Sooooo windy!
This is all we did at the top of the mountain. We took this picture, and then went and got in line to ride the lift back down the mountain.
I didn't get a picture of the putt-putt game. All I'm gonna say is that I didn't lose, I didn't win, but I beat 2 people. Sorry Matt...you got beat by a pregnant lady!

Christmas Morning at the Drake's

We have already set a little tradition on the holiday's...Christmas morning we head to the Drake's for brunch. Followed by gift opening and then the infamous Muppet Christmas Carol; to which my husband knows every word!
Our last Christmas just the two of us....
Here is Rob with the adorable reindeer box that Iris got for Erin and I. It had the cutest little reindeer bib in it!
What a wonderful time of the year!

Christmas Afternoon with the Turner's

I was TERRIBLE at taking pictures at Christmas this year...I was feeling so sick, that pictures were the last thing on my mind! Mom's Christmas Dinner was beautiful, complete with a beautiful ice sculpture centerpiece with mini ornaments and ribbons in it, name cards for each

This is a picture that needs explaining...let's just say that Rob and Bryson are going to be protected! Clay NO kicking!

Baby Drake...9 weeks!

What an incredible sight to see...I remember lying there thinking..."That creation is inside of ME." It is definitely an active baby....it was twisting, flipping and dancing for us. AMAZING!

We are the Champions!

Ladies and Gentlemen....here they are....2009 Hebron Co-Ed Softball Champions! So, I have to admit that I was a little worried about the team in the beginning of the season. They definitely started off a little slow, but it doesn't really matter when you win the championship!
Rob made a killer catch, but realized a little too late that the fence was about to get him. Hebron should consider a warning track.

Birmingham

We decided to take a weekend and go to Birminham to visit Corrie and Darren. They are settled in their new house, and the wedding was over, so it was a much more relaxing weekend than it was the last time we were together. This is actually the first time Rob and Darren met because Rob was in China during the wedding. Here we are at Macaroni Grill with Corsh and Darren!
Georgia Southern just happened to be in town. (Actually, it was planned as soon as the schedule was posted.) GOOOOOOO, GEORGIA SOUTHERN!

Rob had to sport the Samford gear since he worked there for a few years.

Relaxing day in the mountains...

This was a beautiful chapel in the mountains! What a breath taking place to have a small intimate wedding.
Even though it was a little overcast, you could see for miles!
What a way to end the day...couples massage at Littlefield Cottage...ahhhh! I want to go back.

San Antonio sweet Scaramento

It has not rained in San Antonio in weeks, and the night we got there it was raining! We took a cab, got lost, and finally made it to our hotel by about 11pm. The next morning we went to breakfast in the hotel and they had Belgium waffles shaped like TEXAS! Jane and Richard, Rob's cousins, picked us up from the hotel on Saturday morning and took us to the little Texas town of Gruene. We ate at this fabulous restaurant, The Gristmill. It was huge, and really used to be a gristmill back in the day.
Hook 'em horns! While we were there we went to a Texas Football Game....I've never seen so many cowboy boots in my life. It was a lot of fun, and we made ourselves fit right in by taking a quick visit to the local Wal-mart and gearing up for the game.

Japanese Gardens Tea Gardens. Beautiful, color everywhere, and huge Koi fish; everthings bigger in Texas. We got a small dose of what the heat is like in Texas...HOT!
Well, the Alamo is definitely not all it's cracked up to be! It was neat to hear all the stories, however, the line was so long to get in, so we just went in the back gate of the gardens and walked around on the inside of the walls.

Jane and Richard thought it was a must for us to head down to El Mercado! We had authentic Mexican food, and went through a Mexican market. After the market, they took us back to the airport, and back to the ATL. It was a short, but fun weekend. Happy Labor Day!

They are growing quickly...

Look how quickly they have grown...running around and playing with each other.
Papa Charlie doesn't really know what to think about these little guys and gals....he's a little skiddish!

So sweet and calm...however, they are staring to chew on things, so some days I'm eager to get them to their new homes!

Look at those faces!

School Days

So, even though I teach middle school, and they could probably care less...I always try to make the room look a little colorful, and exciting!

Creative huh?

The puppies are here...

Lucy had her puppies on July 29th, some time during the wee hours of the morning. They are sooo precious, and tiny!

There are 5 of them, 3 girls (2 chocolate, and 1 black) and 2 boys (both chocolate).
Tired mama with her babies!

A few days later in the basket....so sweet!

I'm a blogger!

So, Mandy Henderson is my inspiration for beginning a blog. I figure if I can get the hang of this now maybe I'll be in the routine by the time we have kiddos. I'm gonna try and go back to January so that I can creat a scrapbook at the end of the year. Here we go...

Turner Family Vacation

Family vacations are never boring! We ate out a few nights, and the other nights each couple took a night and cooked a meal. Things got pretty creative! We also celebrated Bryson's 18th birthday, the 4th of July....it was a great time. I always hate when vacations end because I know that I only have about a month until school starts.
The infamous "Hamburger" birthday cake. I've gotta give it to Publix....this thing taste very good, and it looks awesome too.

Family photo shoot is a must, and we always coordinate our outfits so that we will all match on the Christmas card.

Rob showing off his handy work, a patriotic fruit pizza...yum, yum!

Everyone relaxing in the hot tub the night before we had to leave.
I can't wait until next year....

1st Anniversary

So, for our first anniversary we had planned to go to the Mountains and spend the weekend, however, since I tore my ACL that kind of threw a little kink in things. What is there to do in the mountains when you can hardly walk? Rob suprised me with a "Plan B"....he took me back to the hotel we stayed at on our wedding night, we went to Georgia Aquarium, and to the Sundial for lunch the next day. Rob wanted a picture of me walking...nice brace!

In front of one of the many aquariums...so pretty and blue!

Yah for ONE YEAR!

Top of the Westin for lunch at the Sun Dial. It was a very nice lunch, and our food was really good. Only a few days until ACL surgery! BOO!
Maybe we'll get to go hiking next year!?!

Memorial Day Parade

Dacula Memorial Day Parade...need I say more? My Paw Paw loves the parade, and as long as he's around I can assure you that we will all be there. That is one thing that seems to be a tradition. Last year I missed the parade because I was with the Drake's in the mountains, but we were there this year. (Bad National Anthem singer and all).

The Warbington's

Rob and I after the parade was over...it started raining right after this, and we got out just in time!

Gwinnett Braves

We love baseball, being as how we met at a game, and are so excited to have the G-Braves right here in town. We went with the Drake's and had a wonderful time. Welcome to the 2009 Inaugral Gwinnett Braves Baseball Season!
Score board

This was the coolest part of the whole night...a jumper carried the flag to the field. When he landed he didn't let the flag touch, he scoooped it up so quickly with the help of another jumper. Way cool, and exciting....

Picture of the stadium from right field...we were walking around the stadium to get some ice cream.
